About a month n' half later and I still smoke pipes sometimes

Things do not look very differently from the other side. I'm moved into the big city of brotherly love, I have a new job, a new apartment, a new roommate, and even a new bike. These last two weeks I have had a lot of firsts and learned quite a bit.

I finally am completely finished unpacking, organizing and cleaning. It's a good feeling.

Now that moving and getting a job is behind me, the future looks wide open. I have some very specific directions I am considering. I am not quite at a point where want to write about them, but I'm excited.

I plan to start writing here more often...

I smoke pipes sometimes...

So yes, I do smoke pipes sometimes. I do not really have much to say and I know this blog has been quiet for a while, so I thought I'd do a little update.

There are some big things going right now.

The biggest being, I've decided to move to Philly this December, which involves finding another job and moving in with my friend Justin. I do not really have a grand plan, I know I need a job to pay for rent and food, but other than that...well we'll see what happens.

I smoke pipes. I think I mentioned this, but just in case you missed it. If your wondering the giant pipe in the picture is one a scored on ebay from a Texan, which proves that everything is big in Texas, although the pipe itself (a Ropp Deluxe 685) was made in France.

The other bigger thing going on presently is I launched Dean Martin Web Design. So yes, I make websites. I call myself a part time freelance web design guy and I am looking for work. So there is my shameless plug.

Fixie Tourage

Life ticks by and recently I've grown very restless. The usual seems to be sucking the life out of my soul...I'm ready for a change. My life seems like an huge intersection right now...I'm a planner without plans. Taking a week off for some nomadic fixie tourage...seems like a good start. So tomorrow I drive to DC, with my bike and shit. My plans are to join up with art, for the DC to Richmond VA leg of his three week journey. I plan to be back in a week.

So this time I will fall in love with the road and the rhythm, sure answers are nice but a beating heart is always better.

New Blogging Engine

For all you that subscribe to my RRS, I'm sorry if you got a re-post of my entire blog. So feel free to blame me, but I won't care...since switching from Wordpress to Chyrp is totally worth any amount of blame I receive.

What the heck is "Chyrp"? Chyrp is basically an extremely lightweight blogging engine. It's fast, very usable and easily customized. I switched from Wordpress because, I just didn't need such a huge and powerful blogging engine. I don't hate Wordpress, I just don't need it. This is a small personal blog and Chyrp is just the thing, light weight, fast and usable.
